United States attacker Aron Johannsson has joined Swedish first division side Hammarby on a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old attacker had been out of contract since July 1 after his four-year deal with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen expired.
"I want to work hard to be match ready as soon as possible, and I hope to soon be able to help my team mates on the pitch and contribute goals," Johannsson said on the club's official homepage.
After an impressive two-year stint at Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, Johannsson's four years at Werder Bremen were overshadowed by several injuries which limited his playing time to just 28 league appearances.
