Bobby Wood is set to play his part in the Copa America Centenario, U.S. national team assistant coach Andreas Herzog has said during a brief visit to the forward's club, Union Berlin.
Wood has been playing a standout season for the Bundesliga second-tier club and his 17 league goals broke former U.S. striker Conor Casey's record for most by an American in a single season in Germany's top two divisions.
The 23-year-old's play has made him a reported target for Bundesliga club Hamburg SV as well as several Premier League clubs and placed him under serious consideration for the U.
