Garba Lawal has urged Nigeria to aim for an early goal when they take on the Republic of Benin in Wednesday’s Group L Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Super Eagles played two international friendlies in preparation for this encounter, against Ukraine and Brazil, which ended in draws.
Although the three-time African champions won their last five meetings with the Squirrels, Lawal believes the game will not be a walk in the park and has urged the Super Eagles to play as a team in order to claim maximum points in the encounter.
