Rubio Rubin was once considered a top prospect for the USMNT, even earning his first senior cap at the age of 18. After a bright start to his career at FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie injury and poor form have led to his signing with his third club in just over seven months. That club is Stabaek, currently in sixth place in the Eliteserien, Norway’s top tier. Rubin was a free agent after his release from Silkeborg IF of the Danish Superliga and signed after trialing with the club.
