According to Scott Burns of the Scottish Daily Express, former D.C. United midfielder Ian Harkes has signed a two year deal with Scottish Championship (second division) side Dundee United.
Dundee is currently third in the Scottish Championship (the champion is automatically promoted. The second through fourth place teams enter a playoff to determine the other side that is promoted)
@dundeeunitedfc have agreed a 2 year deal with out-of-contract @dcunited midfielder Ian Harkes. He is the son of US legend John Harkes. The midfielder, 23, has flown into Scotland for his medical and to take in the Dunfermline game, alongside American owner Mark Ogren.
