The new Bundesliga season kicked off in style on Friday night, as reigning champions Bayern Munich thrashed Schalke 8-0 at Allianz Arena.
The Bavarian outfit had hoped to welcome supporters back into their stadium for the clash, with clubs from some states granted permission to house a reduced number of fans over the weekend, but Munich's mayor ended up blocking the proposal.
