Following a highly competitive contest, Olympiacos claim all three points to finish in third spot in Group B. Red Star had a glorious chance to take the lead in the first half after Marin was brought down inside the box by Guilherme, but Tomane failed to convert from the spot as he fired his effort against the crossbar six minutes before half-time. The hosts came on strong after the restart and eventually broke the deadlock when El-Arabi converted a penalty following a handball from Jander nine minutes from time, which proved to be the decisive goal.
Despite dominating the ball in the first half, the hosts will look to improve after the restart in regard to creating clear-cut chances.
