U.S. Soccer has added two new coaches to its youth national team setup, including the former Tottenham goalkeeper.
U.S. Soccer has named Brad Friedel head coach of the U-19 men’s national team, and former Iran national team assistant Omid Namazi as head coach of the U-18 side.
Friedel earned 82 caps for the United States during more than 20 years as a professional, which included stints with the Columbus Crew, Galatasaray, Liverpool, Blackburn, Aston Villa, and Tottenham among others. He currently serves as an analyst for Fox Sports.
