Once upon a time, Julian Green was the hottest United States soccer prospect. Now, he cannot even find steady club football. For the second time since January, Green has moved clubs.
After being sold to VfB Stuttgart from Bayern Munich in January, Green ended the season with Stuttgart, scoring one goal in their promotion-securing campaign. However, that must not have have been enough for his manager because, in two games this season, Green has not played, leaving his future with Stuttgart in doubt.
Even though his loan move to Greuther Fuerth is in a lower division of German football, hopefully Green can take this year to reestablish himself and, more importantly, regain some confidence.
