Late Tuesday afternoon, reputable U.S. Soccer journalist Steven Goff tweeted out that Julian Green is on the verge of leaving Bayern Munich for VfB Stuttgart in the 2. Bundesliga.
It’s not clear whether the move would be a loan or a permanent transfer at this point.
Green’s contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of this season. So, unless something drastic happens, it appears the 21-year-old has played his last match for his boyhood club.
Despite his persistence to try and earn a spot in the Bayern first team, Green has only appeared in a match five times this season, all in cup competitions.
