The defender will miss his second club match in a row with a knee injury.
U.S. national team defender John Brooks will miss his second club match in a row when Hertha Berlin takes on Hannover Friday, according to club manager Pal Dardai.
Brooks was initially called into the USA's camp for a pair of World Cup qaulifying matches against Guatemala but was unable to take part in either game and returned to Germany, where he sat out a 5-0 loss for his side against Borussia Monchengladback.
On Tuesday it seemed Brooks was still in contention for a place in the team against Hannover, but Dardai says that Brooks will spend the week working with the club's fitness trainer and will hopefully return to full training next week.
