Jill Biden attends historic USMNT match in Cuba

The wife of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was on hand for the Americans' first friendly in Cuba since 1947.

There may not have been much to take away soccer-wise from the U.S. national team's gritty 2-0 win over Cuba on Friday, but the symbolic implications of the occasion were always going to take center stage.

That much was made clear by the attendance of Jill Biden, the wife of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, to commemorate the Americans' first trip for a friendly against Cuba since 1947.

The #USMNT was honored to receive a visit from @DrBiden prior to today's #USAvCUB match here in Havana.
