Kelechi Iheanacho claimed he is not in goalscoring competition with Leicester City’s feared frontline of Patson Daka, James Maddison and Jamie Vardy.
The Foxes began the 2021-22 season on a flying note – defeating Manchester City 1-0 in Saturday’s FA Community Shield fixture.
Iheanacho came off the bench for Brendan Rodgers’ team with just over 10 minutes on the clock and made an immediate impact, scoring from the penalty spot after drawing a foul from Nathan Ake inside the box.
