Hertha Berlin's John Brooks faces spell on the sidelines with hip problem

Hertha Berlin have announced that United States international John Brooks will be out "for the time being" with a hip injury.

Brooks, 24, sustained the problem in Hertha's 1-0 Bundesliga win against Wolfsburg on Saturday, in which he played the full 90 minutes.

According to kicker, the defender later complained of muscular problems in the back region and a thorough examination has now revealed that he suffered a "muscle tear in the hip region." Hertha's Twitter account added that he will be sidelined "for the time being."
