Germany's Marozsan out with fractured toe

Germany suffered a huge injury blow at the Women's World Cup with star midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsán ruled out of their remaining group stage matches with a fractured toe.

Marozsán, 27, suffered the injury during their 1-0 win over China on Saturday but still managed to play the full 90 minutes.

Germany manager Martina Voss-Tecklenburg confirmed the severity of the injury Tuesday and was reluctant to put a timeframe on Marozsán's recovery, but she did rule her out of their group matches against Spain and South Africa.

"Dzsenifer has fractured her toe. She will not feature in the rest of the group stage," Voss-Tecklenburg said.
