U.S. defender Geoff Cameron has taken on a mentor role for young American sensation Christian Pulisic, who he believes has a bright future.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — If you believe the European transfer rumor mill, Geoff Cameron and Christian Pulisic were nearly club teammates. At least, Stoke City wanted them to be when it made a reported $20 million transfer offer. After having been teammates with Pulisic on multiple U.S. teams, including this summer's Copa America, Cameron saw enough to decide the 17-year-old budding sensation was someone worth taking the time to mentor.
And when the opportunity presents itself, to poke fun at as well.
