CONCACAF to review World Cup Qualifying format

Not content with changing its name and logo, CONCACAF is also looking to overhaul World Cup Qualifying.

Rob Harris has the scoop for The Associated Press:

CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani has instigated a review of an "archaic" format that leaves only six out of the region's 35 teams still in with a shot at qualifying for Russia in 2018.

If Montagliani has his way, the iconic "Hex" will be on its way out. The United States has done very well in World Cup Qualifying (reaching the finals in every competition since 1990), but it's important to remember that CONCACAF is made up of many, many nations.
