Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby have announced the signing of 28-year-old American striker Aron Johannsson on a free transfer. The injury-plagued Johannsson joins Hammarby from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. He had played for Bremen since 2015, but only made 30 appearances in all competitions.
Hammarby are currently seventh in the sixteen team Allsvenskan table (the league runs from March to November). Johannsson was injured for the majority of 2018/2019 season, but returned to full fitness in March and made 1 Bundesliga appearance and 2 appearances for Werder Bremen II (4th division).
