Christian Pulisic didn’t mean to score his brilliantly placed shot Sunday, but he won’t have any complaints.
The teenager opened the scoring for Borussia Dortmund in his side’s 3-0 victory over Stuttgart when he struck a ball from the right hand side that evaded the reach of goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and just snuck under the bar.
After the game, Pulisic admitted to Bundesliga.com that he had a bit of fortune on his side with that goal.
"I was looking for the back post, just for a cross," Pulisic said. "It came off my foot a little wrong, but it wasn't so wrong in the end.
