The United States Men’s National Team struggled for much of the match last night in the Gold Cup quarterfinals, but they were able to squeak out a 1-0 victory against Jamaica at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Matthew Hoppe was the lone goalscorer, notching the goal in the 83rd minute to give the Americans the victory.
There were a couple wonderful performances mixed into a few performances that were frustrating at times, and the SSFC community reflected that in the ratings. However, Matthew Hoppe’s performance was good enough to inch by Miles Robinson and Matt Turner to capture the SSFC Man of the Match.
