Former Sydney FC star Adrian Mierzejewski looks set for a shock return to the A-League.
The Polish winger won the Johnny Warren medal in the 2017/18 season with the Sky Blues before departing the club for Chinese side Chongqing Lifan.
In his first season in the Chinese Super League, the attacker scored three goals and picked up eight assists across 19 appearances.
He’s continued that solid form this season with three goals and two assists from 10 games but Mierzejewski has seemingly played his final game for Lifan after suggesting on social media he’s destined for the A-League.
