Swiss Super League club St. Gallen has announced the signing of U.S. youth international Jonathan Klinsmann.
The 22-year-old son of former USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann joins from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on a two-year contract.
Klinsmann joined Hertha in 2017 after leaving UC Berkley. He spent the majority of his time with the club playing for reserve side Hertha Berlin II (in the German fourth division). Klinsmann made one appearance for Hertha’s senior team, saving a penalty during a 1-1 draw against Ostersunds FK in the 2017 Europa League.
St. Gallen finished 6th in the 10 team Swiss Super League during the 2018-2019 season.
