United States Men’s National Team center back John Brooks scored a 90th-minute equalizer for Wolfsburg to secure a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday.
The Brooks goal came as Wolfsburg were counter-attacking in the dying moments of the game. Brooks sprinted from his center back position while the attack was developing and ended up as the furthest forward Wolfsburg player.
Right winger Felix Klaus sprinted down the right sideline, hopped over a defender’s desperate challenge, and then sent a low driven cross to an unmarked Brooks at the top of the six-yard box.
