An American youth international is temporarily dropping down the pyramid in pursuit of first team football.
Indiana Vassilev is joining League One club Burton Albion on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, pending league approval. The 19-year-old midfielder is under contract with Aston Villa in the Premier League. He signed a new two-year deal with the club in July, which lasts through June of 2022.
“I’m really excited about this opportunity,” Vassilev told Burton’s official website. “I’m a player who’ll work hard for the team and look to create for the team.
