Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has confirmed reports about the imminent improvement of his backroom staff ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt.
Earlier this week, local reports said that three scouts including Asante Kotoko coach Charles 'CK' Akonnor, a video analyst and a physical trainer would be joining the technical team for the June 21 - July 19 gathering.
Former Jamaica and Leicester City winger Jamie Lawrence, Ghana's physical trainer at the last two Afcons had confirmed the rumours, saying he was in talks over the possibility of making a comeback for the third time as the Black Stars go searching for their first title in 37 years.
