It crowns a remarkable turnaround in fortunes for the midfielder after being initially deemed surplus to requirements by coach Alejandro Menendez.
Kassim Aidara had joined East Bengal last season after leading minnows Minerva Punjab FC to the coveted I-League trophy in the 2017/18 season.
