Afobe discusses new Bristol City role after ‘devastating’ defeat to Sheffield Wednesday

Benik Afobe claimed he adapted well to playing a new role in Bristol City’s attack during their 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

The 27-year-old, who normally plays as a centre-forward, was drafted to the left side of the Robins attack where he also made some defensive contributions.

The DR Congo international was in action for 64 minutes but he could not add to his tally of three goals this season before he was replaced by Senegal’s Famara Diedhiou.
