Around 7 p.m., multiple police cars began securing the mall, blocking off entrances with caution tape, and telling shoppers to leave, witnesses said. A fire truck sat across the street at a nearby Wendy’s restaurant.
Police said there was an active investigation, but didn’t comment any further on what was going on at the mall.
