Waterbury police said they seized 80 bags of heroin, $775 in cash and a gun with an illegal magazine from a car Thursday night during a drug operation.
The driver, Jonathan Antonio Santos, 21, was arrested on 13 charges including operating a drug factory, possession of a large-capacity magazine and illegal sale or transfer of a firearm, they said.
Police said the car was stopped after members of the Street Crimes Unit saw that it appeared to have been involved in drug activity in the area of Reidville Drive. After officers pulled the vehicle over, police found the heroin, cash, high-capacity magazine and gun inside.
