Waterbury man arrested after police seize 1,200 bags of heroin, .44 Magnum and 5 other handguns during drug investigation

A Waterbury man was arrested Thursday after a search of his home uncovered more than 1,200 bags of heroin packaged for sale, crack cocaine and a half-dozen firearms, including a .44-caliber Magnum handgun.

Ryan Curry, 31, was charged with more than a dozen offenses, including operation of a drug factory and possession of a high-capacity magazine, police announced Friday morning. He also was charged with six counts of illegal sale of a firearm and theft of a firearm.

Members of the Waterbury Vice and Intelligence and Street Crimes divisions executed a search warrant at Curry’s North Walnut Street apartment on Thursday afternoon as part of an ongoing drug investigation, Sgt.
