So many kids in Connecticut grow up wanting to play for UConn, whether it be on the gridiron, hardwood or any of the Huskies’ other Division I sports. Only a few are actually able to live out those dreams though, and freshman long snapper Brian Keating is grateful to be one of them.
The Darien, Connecticut native talked at length at Tuesday’s press conference about what it means to suit for UConn as a native of the Nutmeg state. Keating made his debut on the active roster against Virginia and also saw time in the Huskies’ 41-38 loss to East Carolina this past Sunday, filling in for incumbent starter Nick Zecchino, who is not with the program due to an undisclosed illness.
