WATCH: Azura Stevens Doesn’t Regret Leaving UConn Early for WNBA

Azura Stevens didn’t exactly have the lengthiest of UConn women’s basketball careers. The Raleigh, North Carolina native transferred in from Duke and sat out the 2016-17 season before carving out a role as the best sixth-player in the country as a redshirt junior in 2017-18.

However, after the season ended Stevens made the decision to forego her final year of eligibility and enter the WNBA Draft, where she was selected sixth overall to the Dallas Wings. Stevens’ rookie year has been solid, averaging 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 20.
