Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi are coming home. USA Basketball announced the Women’s National Team will play an exhibition against UConn women’s basketball on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at the XL Center with a 7 p.m. tip-off. Bird and Taurasi are the two former Huskies’ on Team USA.
“I think it’s a great opportunity for the fans to see some of the best players in the world,” Geno Auriemma said in a release. “It’s a great opportunity for our players to play against some of the best players in the world. It’s an opportunity for the U.S. National Team to go around the country and build some momentum going into the Olympics.
