It wasn’t pretty, but the UConn Huskies managed to come away with a 55-37 win over the UCF Knights.
The first quarter resembled a typical conference matchup for the Huskies as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead to start the game. UCF struggled to keep up and after 10 minutes, UConn led 21-4. Even in the second quarter, the Huskies held control by locking down the Knights’ offense, holding them to just 12 points in the first half.
However, the tone changed coming out of the break. UCF upped their game and played more physical with the Huskies, who struggled to adjust.
