Amari DeBerry announced her commitment to UConn women’s basketball on Twitter Friday night. The 6-foot-5 forward is the ranked as the No. 5 recruit in the 2021 class in the ESPN recruiting rankings.
DeBerry is the Huskies second commit in the 2021 class. She will join guard Saylor Poffenbarger, who committed to UConn in July.
In addition to being ranked a top-five recruit, DeBerry is also the top-ranked forward in the 2021 class. She currently plays for Williamsville South High School in upstate New York, where she was named to the Class A All-State team in both 2018 and 2019.
