While the time of year between summer workouts and the start of school is the offseason for most college basketball players, four members of the UConn women’s basketball team will have a chance to compete against some of the best players in the nation.
Napheesa Collier, Katie Lou Samuelson, Azura Stevens and Gabby Williams all accepted invitations to the US National Team’s U23 Training Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They are part of a group of 40 players vying to make the 12-person roster for the Four Nations Tournament in Toyko, Japan. However, the Huskies won’t be participating in the tournament due to their team trip to Italy.
