UConn student suspected in two homicides disappeared after taking Uber to Pennsylvania Walmart, state police say

Peter Manfredonia, the UConn student suspected of killing two people and kidnapping a third before fleeing Connecticut, took an Uber to an East Stroudsburg, Pa. Walmart and disappeared down some railroad tracks behind the building, Pennsylvania police said Tuesday.

The manhunt for Manfredonia continues. Pennsylvania State Police warned Uber and Lyft drivers in the area that Manfredonia does not have a car, so “he may attempt to solicit ride-sharing services, possibly through third-party means, to flee the area.”

Troopers learned that Manfredonia was dropped off by an Uber in front of the East Stroudsburg, Pa. Walmart. Through interviews with the driver and security camera footage, they determined that he walked behind the Walmart and other businesses onto a set of train tracks.
