After giving up the first goal of the game, the Huskies regrouped, scoring three goals in the second half to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Junior forward Kwame Awuah scored the go-ahead and game-icing goals for the UConn Huskies as they took down Boston University, 3-1, at Morrone Stadium in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Those two goals were his second and third on the season, as the co-captain delivered for his team with their season on the line.
BU got on the board in the 30th minute on a crossing play finished by junior forward Felix De Bona, taking a 1-0 lead which it would last into the halftime break.
