UConn men’s hockey will play this weekend after all. Hockey East announced the Huskies will face BU on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Freitas Ice Forum for a 2:30 p.m. start. UConn was initially scheduled to have a bye this weekend, but it didn’t play last weekend after the University of Maine suspended athletics through Dec. 8.
The Huskies opened the year with two games against UMass on Nov. 21 and 22. UConn lost the opener but earned a tie (and shootout win) in the second game. BU has yet to play a game this season.
