Dan Hurley has his first commitment as head coach of UConn men’s basketball as Brendan Adams announced his commitment to the Huskies, as first reported by Adam Zagoria of ZAGSBLOG and confirmed by multiple others. Adams initially picked Rhode Island but re-opened his recruitment and eventually followed the coach to Storrs.

A 6-foot-4 guard from Baltimore, Adams is rated as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247sports. After de-committing from the Rams, he was pursued by both Xavier and Seton Hall. New UConn assistant coach Kimani Young also recruited Adams while at Minnesota.
