UConn men’s basketball survived a second half push from USC and future lottery pick Evan Mobley in a 61-58 victory in Bubbleville at Mohegan Sun for the Legends Classic.
Head coach Dan Hurley is hoping after these two games he’ll find out if team can measure up against top competition. He wanted toughness and he got it. UConn led for most of the way as the Huskies improve to 3-0 on the season.
James Bouknight once again, led UConn in scoring with 18 points on 5-for-15 shooting with three 3-pointers and seven boards. Center Josh Carlton, who made one appearance for three minutes through the first two games of the season, showed up in a big way.
