UConn Men’s Basketball and Providence to Play a Charity Fundraising Exhibition Game at Mohegan Sun

The UConn men’s basketball team will take on the Providence Friars at Mohegan Sun Arena on October 25 to benefit the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Typically, the NCAA only allows two exhibition games, however, the teams were granted a waiver for a third as long as the proceeds go to hurricane relief. It is the third such charity game to be announced as Notre Dame will play Holy Cross and Marquette will play Milwaukee. Others are reportedly in the works around the country.

The big storyline going into the game will be Makai Ashton-Langford playing against the UConn team he decommitted from in March.
