If UConn men’s basketball is going to make a run in the AAC Tournament this weekend, they will likely have to do so without the services of point guard Alterique Gilbert. According to Mike Anthony of the Hartford Courant, Gilbert did not travel to Memphis with the team.
Gilbert went down against Temple with a concussion and eye injury after a collision with a Temple player and was hospitalized overnight with his injuries. Gilbert did not play in the Huskies’ 82-73 win over ECU in the regular season finale.
UConn will have Jalen Adams back from a knee injury suffered back in February (ironically also against Temple) as the senior returned against ECU.
