After a 5-2 loss last night at the XL Center, the Huskies finish the series with Northeastern tonight hoping to steal a point on the road.
UConn Men's Hockey's loss to Northeastern last night seemed doomed from the start, with the Huskies falling behind 4-1 after the first period. Mike Cavanaugh's Huskies battled valiantly across the next two periods but ultimately fell 5-2 at the final buzzer.
Northeastern was simply the better team that night, and will be even tougher to compete with on their home ice at Matthews Arena- where UConn fell behind 5-0 after the first period last year on their way to being blown out, 9-0.
