UConn football’s busy week on the recruiting trail continues with Georgia lineman Peter Rooney committing to the Huskies.
Rooney is a three-way player at Westminster in Atlanta, Georgia, playing both offensive and defensive line, as well as holding down long snapping duties. It’s unclear which side of the ball he will play at UConn.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 281 pounds, Rooney is rated as a two-star prospect by Rivals. He held FBS offers from a handful of Sun Belt schools but had interest from Duke, North Carolina, Georgia Tech and Virginia.
