After picking up their first post-signing period commitment yesterday, UConn football added their second on Monday as defensive back Jalon Ferrell committed to the Huskies.
A native of Miami, FL, Ferrell brings solid size to the secondary at 6-foot-2, 177 pounds. He is rated as a 2-star prospect by Rivals but did not hold any other FBS offers before receiving one from UConn. According to his Hudl profile, Ferrell runs a 4.6 40-yard dash.
Ferrell was initially offered by UConn on January during his official visit. He is the 22nd commitment and the 14th defensive player in UConn’s class of 2018.
