UConn football is losing offensive coordinator John Dunn to the New York Jets, according to Mike Anthony of the Hartford Courant. Dunn will join Adam Gase’s staff as a tight ends coach.
Dunn told Anthony that he wouldn’t leave for another college job, but couldn’t pass up a chance in the pros.
“I was not looking to leave for any other college,” Dunn said. “I have goals and aspirations that relate to the NFL and these jobs don’t come up much. This one did. I had to take it.”
Offensive line coach Frank Giufre will be promoted to offensive coordinator.
