The UConn Huskies trekked to Fenway Park to take on Boston College and despite a good UConn start, the Eagles prevailed in convincing fashion, 39-16.
In the first quarter, the UConn offense was making big plays and the defense was looking legitimately stout. Despite more than doubling the Eagles up on yardage after 15 minutes, the Huskies could only muster a 3-0 lead on a career-long 50-yard field goal by Michael Tarbutt.
Those would be the Huskies’ only points until garbage time.
The offense slowed down in the second quarter, with the first four Husky drives going three-and-out.
