UConn football has added its first new opponent to a future independent schedule. The school announced a two-game series with Boston College, beginning in 2022 at Rentschler Field.
Both games will take place in late October — a part of the schedule that can be more difficult for independent programs to fill with conference play in full swing. The first meeting in the series is set for Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium with the return trip to Boston coming Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023.
Not only is securing a Power-Five opponent for two future schedules important, the Eagles have also been reluctant to visit the Rent in the past.
