UConn announces 150 negative tests without positive; Megan Walker asymptomatic

Earlier today, UConn athletics announced that the school has conducted 150 coronavirus tests on its athletes without a positive test.

“While this is good news, it is certainly no time to relax the standards and protocols we have in place to ensure the safety of our student-athletes and staff,” director of athletics David Benedict said in the release.

Benedict goes on to say that he does expect a positive test at some point, but he is confident the procedures they’ve established will help limit the spread of the virus.

“I’d like to commend our public health officials and medical staff for planning and implementing these protocols while also passing along my gratitude to our student-athletes and staff for adhering to the guidelines,” Benedict wrote.
